We are going to be examining the time periods from Reconstruction through the turn of the century in the United States.  We will be exploring the following questions while building your critical thinking, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

     - How does change happen?
     - How is power gained and maintained? 
     - How do race, class, and gender shape the American Experience?
    - What is my role in society?
